Phoenix

This is the second piece in Actual Fantasy (see my Beach piece for a description of what that is, if you don't know) and I have to say it's probably my crowning achievement so far. I absolutely loved doing this, with all of the shading and details. And holy crap that fire and that moon! Those are just beautiful, if I do say so myself. The idea behind this is the phoenix is surprising the dude (who ended up looking suspiciously like me...), NOT trying to kill him. Don't ask why he has rainbow sunglasses, or why his shirt is purple, that's just what happened. Huzzah.
